Hi I'm new to all this and am looking to get a set of power tools for my various novice DIY schemes (looking to get more advanced as I go!) - I've been recommended the Worx range as a place to start but they're so cheap that I keep thinking they must be crap! Am I wrong? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I reckon they're alright for the money, but before you go splashing the cash, wait for the wise words of a certain Mr.Big-All to point you in the right direction.

Hey thanks for the reply :thumbright: - Did he say why Ryobi are better by any chance?
Monkeh
I recently had an experience with a Ryobi drill (a generation or two old). It broke from a three foot fall onto concrete. I was unimpressed.

Thanks for all the advice. Sorry to keep pushing, (I probably will end up getting Ryobi) but do you think there's any point getting the Worx professional range (the green tools) - don't seem too expensive and won't they be more reliable?

Now I have the hammer drill, nail gun which is amazing, multi tool pretty good , slammer drill, work lamp, small circular saw which good but the needs more power.
WORX small electric chainsaw no spare parts
I bought a WORX small electric chainsaw from Wickes a couple of years ago. The oil pressure bulb split and I contacted Worx for a replacement. After several emails they said they don't have spare parts for it, so the whole chainsaw is now scrap! Bad environmental performance and user care. Won't be buying any of their products again!
service vs product
i wrote a review on the Worx site but it looks like it never made it on. First off i love the products , have bought a few and have recommended them to friends and will likely continue to do so. However, my last experience with support to say the least was underwhelming. ( I have the transcript).

BAD BAD COMPANY AND WORST PRODUCTS
Please save your money and do not buy products from this brand. Bought items and when they stopped working I contacted the worx helpline. 4 months later 15 emails later and now they will not respond to me. Cheap tatty equipment and shame on shops for distributing these faulty tools.
Worx- WG779E (Grass Trimmer)
Worx- WG779E (Grass Trimmer) I recently bought a grass trimmer- Worx- WG779E and it's horrible and has many problems.
