That color of mid-tone wood is making a comeback. In the picture your floors are not the loveliest wood tone I've seen, but it could be my monitor. I think it would be easier to give good advice if we could see more of the kitchen. While not horrible, the cool gray countertop is probably not the best with the warm toned wood.
