Had a scare today with an old white silkie hen. She was covered in blood on her breast & feet!!!

Never used it but directions say not to be used on wounds to be sutured & the ingredient list says 71% lime . Sounds very caustic to me . I have a container (handful) of baking soda with a 1/4tsp of salt mixed in for blood coagulate for just such things & if I have to stitch I also put some grazy glue over stitches to stop leakage . Luck

WHEW ~ glad I asked & even happier with the replies!!! Will take Wonder Dust out of the medicine box. ( I don't have horses or cattle. Only chickens ) Will mix up a "baking soda / salt" container for Just in case. BIG BIG BIG THANX. Btw ~ she is Fine today, acting like Nothing was ever wrong!!!

Wonder dust used more on cattle/horses on casterarions or controlling rot in old injuries . Basically one step up from straight lime . Luck
