
Does Reflectix still work if you cover it?
No, it is not efficient once you cover it. It needs an air gap between the reflective surface and the radiant heat source. If you cover it directly, the fabric will heat up accordingly and the reflectix is not a good choice to deal with conductive heat.

How do you stick fabric to a Reflectix?
Yes, I used 3M spray adhesive to attach the reflectix. It worked well. I spray both surfaces, let it set just a minute and then pressed the sections into place. Held up well for 3 or 4 seasons before some of the edges started loosening.

The Simple Outdoor Solutions Escape Pods are sewn, and that seems to hold up nicely. Thread is lighter than duct tape, and sewing your velcro is the way to go to keep it in place. I have sewn Velcro onto a Reflectix food cozy. Works and holds thread fine.

Velcro works for me. At least it has the few times I've used it in the last 18 months. I tried adhesive velcro - they seem to stay on the window frame but pull off the Reflectix when you try to take down the Reflectix.
Can you sew bubble wrap?
Just fold it in and sew, 0.5 cm would do. A general tip - this material is a bit more difficult to sew than other plastics. The bubbles tend to get in the way and jam the machine. Sew slowly and punch little holes in the bubbles while sewing.
