Does anyone know of a plasterboard adhesive manufacturer who adds a salt retardant to thier adhesive? Or could I mix up plaster myself, add a salt retardant and use it as my dabs to stick the plasterboard to the walls. I cant see why it should'nt stick, can you?

Sorry, renovateduk, but on this one you've just got to grasp the nettle (or the batten). I've tried tried coating walls with sealants before dotting with adhesive and also sealing the plasterboard after the damp patches appear - neither idea works.
