He's very overbearing about anything relating to money and kept badgering me about the need for a tuition receipt/1098-T form to include with my tax papers. I photoshopped a fake one intending to retrieve it before he sent them in, but it looks like he got impatient and sent my paperwork in with the fake form included.

· May 31, 2019 5:07 PM. Yes, you CAN file your tax return without the 1098-T information. However, it may not be in your best interest to do so. Entering in the 1098-T data will enable you to find out if you qualify for certain higher education credits (ex: American Opportunity Tax Credit and the Lifetime Learning Credit).
