A quick fix would be plastic caps for screw heads glued in place, and the hole is still available for a cable run in the future, on such a small hole any white silicon would fill the hole.

I've just done exactly that. I used white silicon and smoothed it with a wet finger - can hardly see it. The hole that is, not the finger. bbb
