Have chanelled out brick ready to fit conduit for speaker cable etc. Just wondering can the plasterers skim straight over conduit or will they need to bond over first?

A finish coat will normally be about 5mm, ideally the conduit needs to be below the surface of the existing plaster so it can be bonded flush to existing, then Pva and finish coat. I presume your plastering over existing?

Not sure exactly - but if you are deep enough to skim over - slap some self-adhesive scrim over the conduit or PVA a strip of plasterboard joint paper over the top - she'll be right mate.
