Is paint thinner and lacquer thinner the same thing?

Is lacquer thinner and mineral spirits the same?

Go to any hardware or houseware store and pick up a glass Mason jar - the type without the rubber seals - I think the rubber seals degrade with contact to lacquer thinner. They come in a variety of sizes - I think you can get half-Pint jars. They are clear glass and have wide mouths.
Can you use Mek solvent for years?
I've used them for MEK for years with no issues. That's a much nastier solvent.
Can you pour paint out of a big can?
If you are worried about evaporation just dont pour it out of the big can in the first place until you are ready to do some painting, then remove a small amount.
Does lacquer thinner deflate?
The lacquer thinner bottle does start to "deflate" slightly as the vapors condense. When you pop the top off it fills to ambient pressure. Of course I'll see how they continue to work and withstand the liquid inside in the upcoming days and weeks. Hopefully they'll have no problems.
