Headaches and feeling generally groggy are a typical reaction I am currently using Johnstones high VOC indoors for a job, and it is dreadful.

This seems like a controversial question , after some initial research , it seems some people do this and some dont . I understand Manufacturers of paint/ treatments advise against using exterior paints/ treatments indoors, due to the toxins used against rot/ mold .

I would be inclined to let the stained wood 'weather' for a while prior to applying a clear sealer but wouldn't over worry with regards to health and safety overkill!
