You shouldn't need to dig daffodils, hyacinths, muscari, scilla, bluebells, anemones, iris, snowdrops, snowflakes. I'm sure there are more, but these come to mind immediately. Be aware that bulbs, like most plants, need reasonably good soil that is well-drained and receives moisture, especially in the winter and spring.
