Indapamide was prescribed for my slightly elevated BP. It wasn't a big problem, so my doctor said this slight diuretic should take care of it. After a short period, I experienced a lot of problems with this drug; the nausea was unbearable as were the chronic headaches, leg cramps and irritability.

I had problems with 2 other medications one resulting in a cough the other causing swollen ankles and a rapid pulse. Indapamide 2.5mg slow release works well for me initially had to pass urine more frequently but that soon settled. I only took indapamide for 4 days and I’ll never take it again. I was so dizzy that I had to sit down when I was putting wood on my fire in case I fell into it. I felt weak and I felt like I was going to faint. My stomach was so sore I hardly ate for the 4 days.

Was prescribed this as a little or no side effect alternative drug.... my god was I wrong . Day 1&2 ok by day 3 was feeling a little confused day 4 woke me up with the worst muscle cramp ever in both calves. Headache , nausea and the dizziness, dry mouth and nearly fainted at work.
