Ring Doorbell pro - power kit, what does it do exactly?
Can you tell me more about the humming sound you ran in to (where it was coming from, what piece of equipment, etc)? I just installed a PRO and it worked flawless for about 20 minutes.

The Pro Power Kit is basically just an electrical resistor. In a normal doorbell setup one half of the circuit (from the transformer) goes to the button outside, and the other half goes to the chime inside the house.
