Replace front panel in 3 steps
These 3 steps are general instructions. The number of steps or order can be different for your built-in dishwasher. That's why you should always use the included manual and use this article as guideline.
Step 1: remove the old front panel
The front panel is attached to the inside of the dishwasher door with 4 screws, 1 in each corner. Carefully unscrew them and close the dishwasher door. After, you can carefully remove the front panel.
Step 2: mark the drill holes
Before you start drilling, you first mark the right position for the holes. You can check where these holes should be in the assembly manual or on the website of the manufacturer. Don't have a manual? Check the old front panel and measure out with a ruler where the drill holes are. Make sure you don't drill too deep.
Step 3: attach your front panel
Next, you attach the front panel to the inside of the dishwasher door with screws. In most cases, you can hang the panel on the door and fasten it with the screws. Check if the front panel is securely firmly attached by opening the dishwasher door a couple of times.

1. Unplug the dishwasher
During the course of this repair, you will be unplugging wires. So disconnect the appliance from its source of power to keep yourself and the surrounding area safe.
2. Dismantle the door
First, lower the door. Remove the six screws on each side of the internal perimeter of the door. Then shut the door.Next, remove the front panel by lifting up the bottom edge at an angle. Then slide the top free of the groove and pull it out. Set the panel aside.
3. Disconnect the control panel
Release the wire harnesses in the top right section of the control panel. The harnesses only plug into their unique ports, so you don’t have to worry about incorrect assembly later.
4. Dismantle the control panel
Set the control panel face up and locate the two screws below the front face panel. Remove these two screws.Next, flip the panel over and release the two locking tabs on both of the top corners. Then you can pry the control panel frame from the main plastic cover.
5. Assemble the new control panel frame
Stick the shield in place above the on-off switch hole. Add the control board. Slide the protruding bottom section under the frame and then press it down into position. Make sure all three locking tabs engage.Install the door switch. Line up the top of the door switch with the protruding tabs in the center.
6. Reassemble the door
Reconnect the wiring. First, plug the blue wire harness into the on/off switch.Also, reconnect the grounding wire by sliding the green wire’s tab back over the frame’s metal tab. Then plug the L-shaped wire harness into the door switch.Plug all of the wire harnesses back into the control panel.
