It ran because it's an anemone. It will die if it's under there. And it will probably die in your tank, for that matter. If it decides to move and hits your other corals, they will kick the bucket as well. :| Ice can apparently get an anemone to let go of its grip.

In short, anemones tend to go walking when they are not happy in there current location. If yours keeps walking then it either needs more food or light....and kogut has already gone over this.
