Would I just be able to repurpose my existing sliding doors to make them French doors in my daughters room? Each door is 36 inch. The closet opening is 71 inch.

If your daughters room is large enough to have french doors I guess someone could convert them IMO sliding doors make a lot of sense in bedrooms unless the room is huge I would do glass barn doors .
