Looking at Ergun's equation, it seems appropriate. However, this applies for packed beds. So I suggest that you first calculate values using Ergun's equation (provided that all parameters are given). Then try to create a simple experimental set-up for the HEPA filter and AC filter using fans (to simulate the air stream), and pressure gauges.
