Can a wall fan diffuser be used with a smart plug?
Your wall fan diffusers are mostly great but, because they use a ‘soft’ switch, aren’t great with modern smart plugs. With the wax wall plug, ironically with a more old fashioned two pole switch it can be switched on and the wall network connected plug it’s connected through can set timers or switch it off remotely, but we were getting wax on our carpet (we have cats so it’s not just from overfilling). With the fan diffuser when it’s switched off, and switched on again via the network, it tthen needs someone to push the soft switch again in order to turn it on, thus completely ruining the point. I know that you’re not required to make this work with other products but if there is a way to get this working, maybe so that it defaults to “on” when it’s been switched off at the wall, I’d be extremely grateful.
