When to Go

Taft Point in Yosemite National Park is only open from May through October, because that’s the only time Glacier Point Road—the no-outlet road and only road going through the upper section south of Yosemite Valley—is open. Any time of day is great to visit here—and it really is worth it any time of day—but Taft Point is best at sunset.
