Step 2: Make the First Fold
Fold about an inch of the wrapper behind the rest. It doesn't matter exactly how much, you don't need to be precise.
Step 3: Fold the Rest Back and Forth
Fold the rest of the wrapper back and forth so that it zig-zags, with each section about 1/4" to the right of the one below. You should have three or four flaps. Take whatever material is left at the end and fold it underneath so that the whole piece is about 1-1/2" long.
Step 5: Fold the Edges In
Fold the two edges underneath and press tightly. At this point it should look like an extruded triangle.
Step 6: Squish Down the Center
The last step is to squish down the center, which will give the chopsticks a place to sit and also help the piece hold its shape. Pinch one end and squish out the center. Then do the other end. Sculpt the piece so that it makes a nice saddle in the middle to hold the chopsticks.
Step 2
Using the crease from Step 1 as a reference, fold both sides down so that the top edge of the chopstick wrapper meets in the center.
Step 3
Fold the left and right sides in toward the center from the top point. The creases made in Step 2 should meet in the center.
Step 4
Fold down the top point using the triangle on the backside as a reference. Unfold.
Step 5
Using the crease from Step 4 as a reference, fold three creases in the bottom half to create four equally divided sections.
Step 6
Fold four more creases to divide each of the four sections created in Step 5 in half.
Step 7
Using the creases made in Steps 5 and 6, collapse the bottom half of the chopstick wrapper so that it looks like an accordion (or a paper fan).
Step 8
Fold the model in half so that the accordion creases touch. Step 8 completed.
