The Flowers for your Arrangement

The next most important component is your roses. You don’t have to use roses necessarily. Peonies would look gorgeous here too. The color is also completely up to you. Add your greenery

Now, let’s get started creating. Fill your chosen vase with fresh water and flower food and prepare all your flowers by stripping off the lower leaves from the stems. For this vase, because it’s pretty deep, I don’t need to add a grid or other mechanics.

Add your roses

For this simple arrangement, I’m only using a dozen roses, so I’m going to cut them down pretty short so the blooms rest right on the edge of the vase. This will help the arrangement look more full. If you wanted to use two or three dozen roses, you could leave the stems a little longer and create a large, statement arrangement.

Add Your Final Touches

Why Rose Flower Arrangements?

Capable of playing the field, so to speak, between elegant charm and playful beauty, a rose flower arrangement can be a great addition to so many special events.

Roses Only

When it comes to a rose flower arrangement, you can’t go wrong with a straightforward arrangement sporting roses only! You can pair roses of many colors, combining reds and pinks for a romantic look; yellows and oranges for a summery bouquet; or whites, pale pinks, and other pastels for a more vintage flair.

Adding Some Colors

Roses of many colors also do beautifully in a rose flower arrangement with a pop of greenery or paired with other flowers. This is a fun place to experiment!

Monochrome

Though your typical rose flower arrangement would be thought of as a bright, vivid, and colorful addition to a special occasion, there are some options to make a monochrome rose flower arrangement that will fit a more subdued or softly colored event.

Wedding White

Ah, the classic white wedding look! Rose flower arrangements are a popular element for a tasteful and graceful wedding appeal, and a wedding white rose flower arrangement can be a real showstopper in this setting!

Special Occasion s

There’s far more room for rose flower arrangements in your celebrations than just the romantic occasions! Rose flower arrangements make a fantastic decoration at many special occasions.

Wrapping Up Rose Flower Arrangements

A rose flower arrangement is a versatile option for just about any special occasion you plan to host or attend, or any gesture you want to make toward a friend, family member, acquaintance, or other loved one.

Step 1

For my arrangement, I used a silver punch bowl like the one HERE. I am also using floral foam (HERE), make sure to use the type that absorbs water…wet foam…dry foam will not absorb water. One brick of foam fit perfectly into my bowl, then I cut another piece into 2 smaller pieces for the sides.

Step 3

Prepare the roses by trimming the stems to the proper length and remove the leaves. Be sure to leave enough length to secure the stems into the foam…better to leave them a bit too long than cut too short. You can always go back and cut a bit more if desired.

Step 4

Working in threes, stick three roses into the foam. If possible, use roses that are partially open for a fuller looking arrangement.

Step 5

Continue adding roses, at varying heights, to fill the remaining space. You want to create dimension and give your arrangement an organic look.

Step 8

Continue adding filler to your arrangement, like eucalyptus branches and berries to give the arrangement a more finished looking appearance.
