How to make an Easy Paper Butterfly tutorial with step photos
In essence the video tutorial is a great help for showing you how to make these butterflies, but I will add simple written instructions below it!
Step 2: the Fold
You're going to start off with a square piece of paper. Fold it once into a triangle, unfold it, and fold it into a triangle on the other side. There should now be a "X" shaped crease going through your paper. Next fold the paper in half, unfold it, and fold it in half the other way. Now this part is a bit tricky.
Step 3: The Cut
Now fold the triangle in half to make a small triangle. There should be a side where all you can see all the corners of the paper (not the binding side). Grab your scissors and now cut the edges off in a curve. This is very important for the next step.
Step 4: Shaping It Into a Butterfly
Unfold the triangle to how you had it before you folded it in half. It should be a larger triangle with rounded corners on the bottom. Take one flap and fold it down the middle and do the same for the other side.

Yep, that’s right. They drink nectar from all those lovely flowers out there in the fields.
Step 01: Cut out the pieces of paper needed to create the butterfly
First cut out your colored paper as shown below. You can use colored paper of your choice.
Step 06: We are making the two large wings of a butterfly
The butterfly’s two large wings are made of two strips of paper glued together. Make a butterfly ‘s wings out of a circle.
Step 07: We are making small wing parts of a butterfly
Make two tiny wings out of strips of parchment paper, just like before (the enormous wings).
Step 08: We are adding the wings of the formed butterfly
Then add the two large wings to the small wings and make the butterfly’s wing parts.
Step 09: We are decorating the abdomen of the butterfly
Then apply a small strip of the following to the body part to make it more beautiful.
Step 12: Assemble all the parts and finish by pasting the butterflies
Finally place the body part in the middle of the wings and paste as shown in the picture.
