Step 2 – Remove hardware on the table
I needed a flat head screwdriver for this step. Once I removed the furniture pulls, I put them in a bowl to keep everything together.
Step 3 – Mask off areas before I began painting
I typically will used 1″ painters tape for most of my projects. It’s easy to remove and won’t damage the furniture’s surface.
Step 5 – Paint 2nd coat of liquid wood paint
I did this once the 1st layer completely dried. I only takes about 45 min to 1 hour for the paint to completely dry.
Step 6 – Apply chalk paint to the rest of the table
While I was waiting for the 2nd layer of paint to dry on the table top, I began painting the table base.
Step 7 – Apply 2 coats of Weathered Wood Gel Stain
After table top dried for at least 2 hours, I was able to add the stain. The first couple of coats were applied with my paint brush.
