Yes, I have z-brick in my kitchen. I am beginning what I would call a kitchen "face-lift." 25 years ago, we did the whole cabinet, counter-top, floor thing. DH says we already did the kitchen once and won't consider a complete redo. The z-brick was on the wall when we bought the house, and why we didn't take it down, I will never know.

I just recently asked someone working at Lowes if I would have to re drywall after taking down Z-Brick. He told me he had actually taken it off his wall a few years ago and that it didnt damage the drywall at all that he can remember.He said it came off with little effort.
