I bought both Miracle Gro ones, the Liquafeed and the one for soluble feed. The bottles aren't sealed units after all but the top is quite fiddly to get off.

I have used this type of hose end feed for the MG powder lawn feed . Now if you put liquid MG flower fertiliser or say powdered Phostrogen , I would not be sure what solution strength would be served from the nozzle ?

I use slow release fertiliser in all my baskets and containers . This year I have also added a pinch of it around each of my bedding plants , so I may only feed my beds in late summer with Tom feed .

Well I've tried both today. The one which you use with soluble feed was a nightmare - as soon as I put it on there was water squirting out of several different places and I got drenched. It also slowed the water down too much. So that's going back to B&Q
How to apply phostrogen to plants?
Measure the feed into a watering can, dilute with water and mix well Generously apply solution around the roots as far out as the foliage reaches Also apply to plant foliage (Note: Never foliar feed in direct sunlight) Phostrogen can also be used as a powder application. Apply 70g per square metre (2oz per square yard) as a soil dressing in Spring and repeat in Summer For more directions for use, consult the product packaging
What is phostrogen food?
Phostrogen® All Purpose Plant Food is suitable for use on all garden plants including edible crops, fruit trees, lawns, young plants, seedlings and even houseplants. While the soil contains nutrients to help plants grow, over time even the richest soil becomes exhausted as the plants absorb the goodness they need through their roots.
Can you use concentrate powder on grass?
If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand. Read label before use. Pour any unused solution onto bare soil, not grass. Any spillage of concentrate powder onto lawns or foliage should be thoroughly watered in immediately. Stored under cool, dry conditions, this product will not deteriorate. If disposal is necessary, reseal and throw away with household waste.
