Although it’s safe to put it in the dryer, we prefer to air dry most of our laundry to prevent shrinkage.

With an MSRP of $80, the Sunbeam Reversible Heated Throw Blanket is one of the more affordable options on the market, but given its performance, we wouldn’t say it’s worth its full price. Unfortunately, after testing a few different heated blankets, we found that uneven and insufficient heating was a downfall of many models.

When I was a kid, my parents bought a small yellow heating pad to use when for example, a family member’s back would hurt. That was useful but it also got very hot. Moreover, the power cord was often too short depending on where you were in the house thereby requiring an extension cord.

I’ve since done my homework and discovered that Sunbeam throws have many different colours and styles. As you can see from the photo above, mine is grey on one side and has a pattern on the other. I’ve also seen Montreal Canadiens and other NHL versions as well as heated throws made from other materials (which cost more but are worth it, I’m sure).
