I have been using this product for years now and it works great! If you have a project that has to be done in 24 hrs I wouldn’t suggest this primer because you have to apply it and let it set for 5-7 days. The longer it sets the better the results.
Poor adhesion to surfaces
Was recommended this by Valspar Rep at Lowe's for an oak trim primer. I sanded and cleaned the oak trim and after allowing this to dry it very easily came off with any light scratch such as fingernail. This Valspar product is extremely thick almost like white glue, very difficult to have it lay flat with brushing on.

I bought this to paint a beautiful detailed and expensive armoire for a client, I thoroughly cleaned the piece and lightly sanded it. I applied 1 thin coat and let dry...it's been 4 days .. the primer is scratching off easily with fingernail test. My client is not happy and I may possibly be out of hundreds of dollars.
