Fertility awareness refers to a set of practices used to determine the fertile and infertile phases of a woman's menstrual cycle. Fertility awareness methods may be used to avoid pregnancy, to achieve pregnancy, or as a way to monitor gynecological health.
What is the Creighton model?
The Creighton Model is probably the most thoroughly studied method of Natural Family Planning. It was developed in the late 1970’s/early 1980’s as a standardized way to track mucus observations.

Is the Creighton model part of the NFP method?

How do I learn the Creighton method?
Learning the Creighton Model begins with an introductory session, followed by individual instruction. During the first year of use, couples attend 8 follow-up sessions in which they receive personal instruction and their fertility chart is reviewed.
Does the Creighton Model work?
Results: At 12 months of use, the Creighton model was 98.8% method effective and 98.0% use effective in avoiding pregnancy. It was 24.4% use effective in achieving pregnancy. The continuation rate for the sample at 12 months of use was 78.0%.
How much does Creighton method cost?
How much does this program cost? The cost is $40 per one-hour visit. So, with the Introductory Session and eight follow-ups, plus $40 for materials, you'll spend $400 for the first year's instruction and all the materials you will need.
