The Pioneer Cemetery Trail, actually an old dirt road, descends a gentle mile through an open forest of ponderosa pine and incense cedar to the Pioneer Cemetery and Lake Britton. This whole area along the road was once the site of farming homesteads, and before that it was used by Native Americans.
