My overall impression of the AWS Certified Security – Specialty (beta) exam is that it was a tough but fair examination of your security knowledge. I’ll confess: I felt pretty drained by the end of the three hours. The exam left few security stones left unturned, so to speak.

What questions should I ask for security specialty exam?
For the Security Specialty exam, what I encountered was lots of KMS questions in key types, key rotations and symmetric/asymmetric keys etc. Data encryption at rest and in transit. You should know how to implement end-to-end encryption and how to terminate SSL on both the load balancer and EC2, plus mutual authentication. All security-related services also showed up like GuardDuty, Security Hub, CloudTrail, S3 Encryption, Security Group/Network ACL and others.
Is the DVA exam easier than the SAA?
Let's have a look at the difficulty. And this should come as no surprise but difficulty in the sense of the exam is relative, especially compared to for example the SAA. I've read quite some posts here stating that the DVA was easier than the SAA. Well, for me I would say it was equally challenging and I would never say that one was easier than the other. So the lesson here is: What is difficult and what's not is very subjective. But with good preparation, you can turn the odds in your favor.
Is the SAA C02 exam hard?
I just passed the SAA-C02 exam. Boy was it hard! I barely managed to answer all the questions with the ESL accommodation, the questions were really long and the choices were about the size of a sports article in a newspaper!

Similar to my prep for the SAA I relied on Tutorialsdojo's practice exams and I was not disappointed. The tests are still the gold standard and highly recommended. I did all of them twice and managed to score 100% on the final test. Never managed that before :D

- I prepared for the exam using a mix of study materials which included videos, books, AWS documentation and white papers, and hands-on labs. I personally find useful to mix the course material as it reinforces my learning. Furthermore, a single resource may cover a topic insufficiently or present it on a limited angle so it’s always good to mix and match.

- You may want to book the exam in advance to set a strict deadline for finishing your study (there is nothing more motivating than a deadline!) or cover the study material, do some practice tests, and make sure you score above the pass threshold before booking the exam.
