WHAT IS A GO APE TREETOP ADVENTURE? Our Treetop Adventure course will keep you challenged, present and living in the moment. So much more than just ziplines; it’s a 2-3-hour aerial journey through the forest canopy. Engage every sense in a fully immersive and visually stunning forest setting.
Where can I find Go Ape activities?
The Tree Top Challenge is the main Go Ape activity and can be found at each Go Ape location (see Locations later). There are also TreeTop Adventures, Forest Segways, and even giant netted areas at some places ( more on that later ). Each TreeTop Challenge is slightly different, but you can expect to find Zip Wires, Crossings, and Tarzan Swings.
What age is the treetop adventure course for?
The TreeTop Adventure course is designed for children aged 6 to 12 years old. However, under 6’s can do the course as long as they are at least 1 metre tall and are likely to enjoy it. One adult can supervise two children, but only one child is recommended if it is their first time.

How long does it take to do Go Ape treetop challenge?

That includes a safety demo from an experienced Go Ape team member and a practice session, where you get to learn the ropes (quite literally).
How hard is Go Ape treetop adventure?
It's rated a 'difficult' crossing in the Go Ape world scrambling across it sideways 30ft up in the trees is why it's in at number five. You'll discover muscles you never knew existed! Don't let this one fool you it's an extreme crossing for a reason.
How long does Treetop Adventure Plus last?
It combines height with long crossings and solo zips to provide an exhilarating 90 minute forest experience.
How long do you stay at Go Ape?
If you are booking Treetop Adventure or Adventure+ your party will be in the trees for 1 hour. If you have a Nets Adventure booking then you will be on the Nets for 2 hours. If you have booked the forest shelter, you get an hour in addition to your activity.
What is the difference between TreeTop challenge and TreeTop adventure?
For TreeTop Challenge, children must be at least 10 years old and 1.4 metres tall. One adult can supervise a maximum of two children aged 10-15 (the number of children you can supervise increases for 16-year-olds and older). The TreeTop Adventure course is designed for children aged 6 to 12 years old.
Do you need to wear gloves at Go Ape?
Gloves are always a good idea no matter the season winter months. They protect your hands from the elements whilst also stylishly matching with your hat/scarf ensemble and, when tackling the high ropes at Go Ape, they will really protect your hands. Don't worry if you forget them though we sell them in the cabin.
Is the treetop challenge hard?
Most of the course is simply walking along somewhat easy courses. The difficult parts are climbing the 5 rope ladders and also climbing the net after the 2 tarzan swings. The 2nd tarzan swing is much bigger and optional, the first one is smaller and necessary.
What's the minimum age for Go Ape?
The minimum age is 1 year old and little adventurers should be able to stand unaided. The maximum weight per person is also 130kg (20.5stones). One participating adult (18+) can supervise up to two children aged under 6 while on the course. Supervisors for under 6's also go for FREE.
Are there toilets at Go Ape Leeds Castle?
Go Ape at Leeds Castle, is just on the right as you pull into the main gates at Leeds Castle. Parking is free. Toilets are situated about 2 mins away on the far left. A warm friendly welcome by all staff but you do need to listen.

Gloves are recommended, but not required. I brought a pair of old gardening gloves with me and my husband brought work gloves, which both worked great. Go Ape also sells gloves for $6, which look nice and are not as bulky as gardening gloves can be.

Who can Go Ape?
Go Ape is a family activity, but for obvious safety reasons, age and height restrictions apply, as well as the number of supervising adults….yep supervising adults. After given training, and showing that you understand how to navigate the course safely, you are responsible for navigating the course yourself. You will also be responsible for any children you take.
