
What is a freemie Cup?
Our ultra-lightweight cups let you pump anytime, anywhere, around anyone. Traditional bottle/horn set ups keep moms tethered to a wall outlet and/or require you to be undressed to pump. We took that old design and made reusable cups that you wear in your bra to collect expressed milk. Freemie Cups are closed-system and work best with Freemie Pumps.
Can I use freemie collection cups with any breast pump?
Okay, so Freemie collection cups are actually just the flange/bottle part of a breast pump. That’s right. They can be used with any breast pump! If you are somewhat familiar with an electric breast pump, these guys don’t do the actual pumping part. You’ll need to use your own electric breast pump, and they just hook up to the end of your tubing.
What is a freemie?

Do Freemie cups come in different sizes?
Freemie Cup and Pump Sets typically come with size 25mm and 28mm hard breast flanges. These popular sizes are a starting point. Our largest size is 30mm and is available only with the newer SlimFit5 or SlimFit6 cup styles. You can size down all the way to 15mm with a Fitmie insert.
What size Freemie cups do I need?

Is Freemie a hospital-grade?
Another cool part about the Freemie: The pump is actually of the hospital-grade variety, so after just a minute or two, I already had an ounce in each cup.
How do you get more milk on Freemie?
If you want to increase your milk supply you can feed and express to stimulate more milk production. Speak to a lactation consultant to discuss increasing your milk supply. Can I put Freemie cups in the fridge?
Don't wash but rather put Freemie cups in fridge to keep bacteria from growing between pumping sessions.
Can you lay down with Freemie cups?
No need to stay awake. Freemie's hands-free breast pump will let you sleep on the job.
Can you reuse Freemie cups?
Why yes you can! Freemie parts (funnels, cups and valve bases) can go in plastics recycling once you're done using them. The Freedom Pump can go in an e-waste bin and should not be passed on to another user.
How long does it take to pump with Freemie?
With my Spectra, I typically pump for about 10 minutes, on a 2-3 vacuum and I can get anywhere from 5-8 ounces combined depending on the time of day.
How long does Freemie last?
In the Freemie Freedom Electric Breast Pump, the filter which acts as a barrier between the milk collection and the motor is replaceable. Over time, milk vapor will build up making it less effective and so it requires replacing every 2-3 months.
What Freemie parts to boil?
Have you boiled your parts? Freemie Funnels, Cups and Valve Bases must be boiled for 10 minutes prior to first use. You won't need to boil them again. Boiling these parts will sanitize them and help them keep a good seal.
What size flange comes with Freemie?

What is the difference between Freemie independence and liberty?
Freemie Liberty and Freemie Independence have very similar features. The only differences are:-Freemie Liberty has an LCD screen while Independence has an LED screen. -Freemie Liberty has a programmable shut-off timer, Independence does not have any.
Do Freemie cups work with any pump?
Although Freemie Cups work best with Freemie Pumps, there are options to use certain cups with pumps that have been tested and approved for compatible use. If using a non-Freemie compatible pump, the pump should be new.
