Having had the Kirby demo in my home impressed me at how well the vacuum cleans with a lot of suction power but new is $1400. Seeing the reconditioned vacs at the mid $200 seemed like a reasonable price to pay. The G4 is reconditioned and works like new with new wheels, and brush bar etc.
