It's likely not unlike many other good engineering schools, but a word to the wise, unlike the Ivyies where the acceptance process does a good job of making sure only those prepared for the challenges make it in, getting in is merely warming you up for the real challenges ahead.

I went there for computer science which was easier to graduate in 4 years then other engineering majors as the prereqs don't stack as much, but they really like to weed you out early. If you didn't have a passion for computers coming in and some idea of programming, you were in for a rude awakening. I saw several previously 4.0 students on scholarship see grades failing or at least fall well below thier scholarship requirements during thier first semester. Some recovered and after you figure out the transition things get more predictable and often feel easier despite taking on exponentially more difficult coursework. My senior year, I took an algorithms course where the highest grade on the tests was typically in the 60s before the curve was applied.
