So I got a new blade this weekend, full 1/8" kerf Freud rip blade. Then I noticed that the blade that came with my Grizzly 715 was not a full 1/8" kerf. Does that mean that I need a thicker riving knife? The one that is on it now is .100" thk.

My rip blade is a full kerf and my riving knife is a thick 1/16 and I haven't had a problem. I don't think the riving knife's thickness has to be the same as your blade to work. Its purpose is to keep the tension in wood from closing so much it pinches the blade, causing kick back.
