This vegan garlic aioli is perfect for beginner cooks because all you have to do is throw everything in the blender. So here’s how to make it.

The Benefit of Soaking Cashews

Soak your cashews for at least 1 hour before making the aioli which will make it easier to blend. And the end result will be super creamy and smooth. If you choose not to soak the nuts you’ll have trouble blending them. Not to mention that you’ll end up with a chunky finished product.

Eggs

I can’t tell you how many times people try to tell me at a restaurant that something that contains eggs contains dairy. It is so frustrating it has to make the top of this list.

Mayo

Mayo is an egg-based product. In its most basic form, it doesn’t contain much more than egg, vinegar or lemon juice, oil, and mustard. Unless the mayo has something like parmesan in it, it should be totally safe for you to eat.

Most aiolis

Tartar sauce

I have run into it where they add something like sour cream to tartar sauce, but generally it’s just mayo plus pickle relish. Once again, check to make sure, but you’re usually fine with this.

Coleslaw

I feel like a broken record by this point, but coleslaw is usually cabbage plus mayo or cabbage plus some kind of vinegar, but I have encountered coleslaw that contains some kind of milk, so check, but most of the time you should be a-OK.

Some English muffins

Many MANY English muffins have dairy, but check the labels, because there are great dairy-free ones available too. Check out Genesis 1:29 for great sprouted ones.

Crumpets

No crumpets in the stores near me have dairy, but always check to make sure. Bonus – I think they’re a lot tastier than English muffins and they tend to be lower-cal.

Ingredients

Avocado mayonnaise-This is what makes this aioli paleo. This mayonnaise is made with avocado oil instead of canola oil which makes it a lot better for us.
