Is ASU a good business school?
The business school is well regarded and was in the top 10 list in the Wall Street journal last year for recruiter preference. Plus the supply chain management department (my major) has been consistently ranked in the top 5 globally and was considered the #1 program for it in the world a year or two ago. This is in part due to the fact that ASU hires professors directly from a lot of companies in the area, so many of the professors I had were relatively new to teaching but were veterans of their fields who had taken the jobs directly after retiring from places like Intel, KPMG, and Honeywell, meaning you have instructors with ample amounts of real world experience who are still well connected and up to date with major players in the industry. ASU is also incredibly popular among military veterans and they made up a sizable part of the population, these people are going to have more maturity and life experience than you do and are usually more than happy to share their wisdom for a guest swipe at a dining hall. Take advantage of this, knowledge can be found in more places than the classroom and library (they’re pretty easy to spot just find that one really old guy in your class with a bread and beat up old backpack, think looks like a hobo but doesn’t smell like one and probably has a pair of Oakley’s).
