is blast from the past based on a true story

Based on true events as recounted by several of those who served in Afghanistan, Blast from the Past by S M Rush is a superbly written and richly descriptive novel. The author paints for the reader a dramatic and captivating tale about ‘obsession, loss, survival and self-preservation’ in a very vivid and convincing way.

Even though the film is based on a true story, you'd think Lynch would still find a way to add a bit of his trademark surrealism somewhere (a dream sequence perhaps). But he doesn't and, as much as I love all that jazz, I'm really glad he didn't.Nov 2, 2017
