Definitely best to check at the clinic, I do not think the oil will be a problem to your kidney/s but there may be possible conflicts with your medication, in any event, it is always better if your medical team know what you are taking. If it is considered OK for you I would go for fish oil not Cod Liver oil, cods livers store mercury therefore the oil is likely to be high in mercury.

I take Omega 3, it was recommended to me by an earlier consultant (I have IgAN). There is a school of thought that a daily intake of up to 12 omega 3 capsules daily is beneficial, but that seems a little drastic! I just take the one.
