Flora-Bama is many things: a beach bar, honky-tonk, restaurant, songwriter venue, concert destination, marina, package store, bingo parlor and even a church. It started 55 years ago as a lowly state-line dive and liquor store that was hoping to take advantage of thirsty customers from Florida and Alabama.

For the tourists visiting the area, the drink is a frozen concoction that has a coffee-esque taste and can be found at many bars around the area.
