How did VHS games work?

Gameplay
Set in a high school in 1996, the game pits six classmates against a killer who can be one of four classes: a Giant, a Slasher, a Spider, or a Strangler. Classmates roam the map completing a variety of objectives in order to escape, while the killer tries to stop them from doing so.
