A lot of times, I will go to a doctor where I have a $50 or $100 office visit. In cases like this, I will just decide to pay the bill out of my pocket and submit this to Liberty HealthShare members for reimbursement. Many times, as a self-pay patient you can ask for a discount from the provider and pay upfront for a service. If so, you submit your itemized bill and receipt via your ShareBox.
Does Liberty HealthShare have a membership form?
After speaking with Liberty HealthShare’s membership enrollment team members, I was on to the enrollment process. Liberty HealthShare’s website has a simple enrollment form that you can fill out. This just lets their enrollment team know to contact you to get the ball rolling.
Is Liberty Healthshare cheaper than Blue Cross?
I’ve had Liberty Healthshare for a few years now, and love them. They are way cheaper than the Blue Cross plan I once had (which also had a $5000 deductible attached to it). As for the other folks who have commented on here and complained about Liberty taking too long to reimburse them…you do realize that can give your membership card to your provider’s office staff and have them bill Liberty directly, right??? That’s what I’ve done the whole time. I have never once paid a provider’s bill directly and then submitted a claim for reimbursement. Think smarter, people. Sheesh.
Does Healthsharing keep reserves?
Our healthsharing ministry does not keep reserves of funds. Members’ voluntary contributions are used to help other members in need. Our members have shared all eligible expenses since our inception in 1995 with one another, and they continue to actively share millions of dollars in medical costs each month with one another.
Is healthsharing voluntary?
We are a healthsharing ministry, not insurance and our members choose to share into one another’s medical needs. Sharing is voluntary; however, our community has shared every eligible medical need since we began in 1995. Eligibility is determined by various factors, such as complete expense submission and fair pricing for medical services. If not received, sharing may be delayed in these cases. We wish you well.

You can lower your price by using a direct care doctor (this is a doctor you pay a monthly amount to and they coordinate your care).
