Yale University
Freshman: Yale is an amazing school! The professors and students are all encouraging and friendly. Everyone there deserves to be there, which makes the learning environment extremely rewarding and stimulating. There are so many resources to help you navigate your time at Yale, especially during your first-year.
Trinity College - Connecticut
Freshman: I applied ED to Trinity and was 100% convinced it was my dream school. While I do believe the school is a great place, it certainly isn’t for everyone. Friend groups are very cliquey. It seemed like everyone had all of their friends at the very beginning of orientation. Kids don’t like to break out of their shell and make new friends.
University of Connecticut
Freshman: It's a good environment but my first semester was a bit harder than it was made out to be. The classes are challenging and sometimes the difficulty level depends on the professor you have. Overall, I feel as though I've been challenged but not in an unfair way.
Southern Connecticut State University
Freshman: I'm only about a quarter of the way into my freshman year but enjoying my time here so far. I'm a residence here and the only thing I can say is some of the people are gross and sometimes there is trash in the bathroom and other gross things (obviously this isn't something that is the schools fault but I feel like I should mention it).
Quinnipiac University
Sophomore: I am currently in the 4+3 bachelor of athletic training and doctorate of physical therapy track and I absolutely love it. My major is very hands on and the professors truly love what they are teaching. The campus is very straightforward and has a simple layout.
Wesleyan University
Freshman: Chose Wes over a bunch of other schools, including Cornell. So happy I did. The people are great—kind, friendly, smart, cool. I had no problem making tons of friends and I love my classes, which are small. The professors and advisors welcome student interaction before and after class. I talk to my profs a lot.
Sacred Heart University
Alum: The minute I stepped onto the SHU campus when I toured the University, I knew it was the best fit for me. Everyone was friendly, the campus was just the right size and there was a bunch of different majors to choose from. I was a work-study for all 4 years and upon graduating, was offered a full-time position at the University.
