What's the difference between RedMax and Husky trimmers?
Redmax use Strato engine and Husky is not. I have IPLs on all of them. Redmax trimmers have a lot of issue of cold start and take long time to warm up. People have to hold it invert and rev it up for a minute or more in order to use it. Husky have nothing like this. Thanks for the info guys I'm probably going to pick up the 327 later this week.
Is the Husqvarna RedMax bcz2450 worth it?
Sure, Husqvarna is a very nice trimmer, lightweight and very reliable. If your choice was between the Redmax BCZ2450 and the Husqvarna 327 which are really much more comparable, I would take the Husqvarna.

yeah, I noticed the Husky 580 is $550, where the Redmax 8500 which is supposedly the same exact machine is like $20-30 more. I think the backpack is a better option as most of the areas I need to push leaves will not be heavily treed, just long distances. Kind of like 3 trees in the middle of a 1/2 acre field

Is the blower harness heavier than the other blowers?
It is heavier than my other blowers but the blower harness is well made distribute the weight very well. Once you start moving and working you won't feel it. It is a little heavy, but the harness is very comfortable and distributes the weight perfectly. It is a heavy unit.
