Shake shack is a good place to work if its for school or you need a flexible schedule. When I worked there I got a promotion and they gave me a dollar raise, but not a month later they changed the entry level rate to the same amount I got paid without compensation. The management is very hands off and would rather leave the kitchen to trainers even when we need help. Overall the year worked at shake shack was not the worth it in the slightest due to the fact that they had zero respect for there workers.

It's the type of job that pays reasonably well. Get swamped during peak hours but people are nice, managers are usually pretty good. Wish they gave you free meals on shift but discounted food is better than nothing.

A typical day of work would be working in the kitchen and helping employee's making milkshakes and make cheesy fries and helping to serve customers.

Not enough training given to new members, many co workers go on break on the busiest times which left me (who was new to working in general) and 2 other people in the kitchen while many orders were coming through.
Too much work, not enough staff. Managers quite unmanagerial and rude
If you want a good wage with less work, just go to McDonald's. They will pay you more and have enough staff for the work. The workplace was dirty and everyone was too worked over to deal with the mess until after shifts finished.
Don't work here, you will regret it
Worst company I've worked for shake shack UK are in a bad position right now as a numerous amount of managers have resigned , managers who have been in the company since it opened in the UK . If you are friends with a certain Greek ops manager then you will go far in the company even though you are useless.

Friendly staff/ management. Competitive pay. Amazing experience as they take on people without experience and train them up. When you know what you're doing the job is a breeze.
