This place has absolutely stunning views. The drive to the Point Reyes Lighthouse from San Francisco was not bad, maybe 1.5 hrs. The road was very curvy but also beautiful. The Lighthouse itself was amazing. You have to transcend 318 stairs to get there but the views are worth it and this lighthouse is the only one in nation that still has the original lens installed and working. The Guide there was very knowledgeable and friendly. Take water and snacks in the car if you have children.
