The customer service is terrible
The customer service is terrible - bad energy. I don’t really shop at west elm, it’s generic, nothing unique. They may have some good appliances and stuff like that, but it’s mostly just bland. I was put on hold and then hung up on, then the next person I spoke to was really just uninterested, had no manners, and was overall unprofessional.

I bought a bookcase online for pick up at the store. When I got it home in the box, I realized there were 4 critical shelf supports missing. After 4 calls (very long hold times) and some email back and forth to try to get the missing pieces or get the bookcase replaced - I had to give up and return it.

I just found out that West Elm does not take responsibility for property damage caused by their delivery people. The company recently delivered a replacement piece of a Harmony sectional that was defective and their delivery guys tore the edge of my area rug when they were hooking up the piece.

Terrible quality, and warranty. Bought a 76" Harmony Sofa. After two years of normal usage, the center beam of the bottom frame cracked as I sat down one day. There is now a large dip in the middle. Contacted West Elm, and they informed me that since it was past one year, they couldn't offer any help.
