Difficult one. They usually say not to seal inside, so that any water that has entered the box section aluminium framework, can drain out into the shower tray. But, like you, I have somitimes found it impossible to avoid leaks without sealing inside as well. I would see if you can fix the leak from the outside first, and if not then seal inside.

The most common place for leaks is the joint between tray & tile immediately behind the wall channel not being sealed correctly during installation of the . As mentiond before any residual water in the channels, should be able to drain back into the tray.

The joint between tray & tile should have been done before the wall channels were fitted. If it's leaking in the bottom corner at this point, then the only way to cure it properly is to remove the screen & start again. You'll probably cause more leaks by sealing the inside espscially horizontal joint at the bottom.

Another thing a lot of people miss is that the tray to tile joint should be sealed before fitting enclosure, not necessarily the whole lot, just where the wall profiles sit.
