I’ve found that the best rice to water ratio for Aroma Select Stainless to be 1:1 and the ratio for the Aroma Digital is 1:1.33.

How to clean your rice cookers

When cleaning any rice cooker, be sure to wait until the rice pot has fully cooled before rinsing. For the Aroma Select Stainless, you can use soapy water to clean the inner chamber and glass lid in the sink. Make sure to let it dry completely or wipe it down dry before using it again to cook.

Frittata with Vegetables

Preparing the perfect frittata requires patience and practice or a rice cooker. It’s basically a frittata using eggs and summer vegetables, which get browned in a pan and then loaded into the rice cooker. Serve this elegant item between slices of crusty bread for a filling lunchtime sandwich. Or it can be pair with a side salad for a light dinner.

Grains

Almost all kind of grains such as quinoa, barley, oats or polenta can be cooked in a rice cooker. They are usually cooked with the same water ratio that’s used over the stovetop. Depending on the type of pasta it can take anywhere between 4 and 10 minutes. Once the pasta has reached your desired softness it’s time to use the inner pot lid of your Aroma Rice Cooker to drain water through the pasta strainer.

Once the water has been completely drained from your pasta you can now add your additional ingredients such as sauce and mix them through your pasta.
