Does a gnome have eyes?
You usually can't see the eyes on knitted gnomes. Many Norwegians believe that gnomes have four fingers, with pointed ears and eyes like a cat that can reflect light in the dark.

Adventuring was not necessarily a welcomed lifestyle among gnomes, despite the curiosity that filled the whole race, and sometimes was, in fact, seen as a betrayal of sorts to a gnome's clan.
